Even after 20+ years in public relations and government relations, I still get chills from hearing, telling or being a part of an action-inspiring, tear-jerking, mind-changing story. The kind of story that is amplified by technology, but doesn't lean on it. Don't get me wrong -- I love tech. But a good story is the gas to technology's engine.

 

I have had the good fortune to build a career I love by identifying, cultivating and telling amazing stories to help create opportunities for people. Throughout my career -- which spans public relations, public policy, business, economic development, workforce & talent, energy, and more -- I have watched technology grow in its potential to enhance the way we tell great stories. But in and of themselves, the greatest stories happened because somebody worked hard, led fearlessly, sacrificed everything, beat the odds, or willed into existence a game-changing product.
